IFM is a leading provider of Lubrication and Fuel services. Our customers range from Chemical Manufacturing plants to Upstream Oil & Gas operators to General Manufacturing companies. We own and operate specialty equipment to provide Lubrication Technicians, High Velocity Flushing services, Varnish Mitigation services, Oil Filtration and Dehydration, Chemical Cleaning and many other specialized services.

 

Job Summary

The Lead Tech / Shop Lead is responsible for executing service jobs in various different environments such as chemical manufacturing facilities, refineries, boats, etc. Jobs must be executed efficiently with attention to meeting customer expectations from a quality control standpoint. Must maintain good client relationship, and be involved in projects from development to completion. The Lead tech / Shop lead will also be responsible for maintaining all IFM equipment as it returns from the field and handle all shop related matters while maintaining organization and cleanliness of shop. This Job is a 40hr. minimum a week job. Must have the ability to work overtime as needed. This includes weekends on occasion.  

 

Responsibilities

  • Visit different job sites and help plan the work and create materials list of equipment as it pertains to the execution of work.
  • Oversee IFM employees, contract workers and employees of customers; lead small team occasionally.
  • Work hands-on alongside other IFM technicians performing manual labor required to complete project
  • Ensure safety, company, and customer requirements are met and followed throughout completion of work.
  • Work with Business Development and Operations Manager on meeting customer expectations
  • Manage communication of expectations for the project to all internal and external parties involved
  • Manage internal job information (documentation)
  • Drives continuous improvement efforts for the division; develops other technicians
  • Continuing education. Obtain industry certifications, attend industry presentations and stay current with industry trends and publications
  • Must be able to troubleshoot issues in the field and in shop with little to no supervision.

 

Experience/Qualifications

  • 5+ years of field leadership
  • Experience with lubrication, reliability, or chemical cleaning services preferred
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong communication skills
  • Growth mindset
